My name is Cu Van Thanh, the founder of Luong Quoi Coconut Co., Ltd. Since I was a child, my love and ambition were associated with the coconut tree in front of the alley
My journey to bring Vietnamese coconut products to consumers across five continents is rooted in childhood memories with the image of the coconut trees. The anxiety when saw our father’s generation exploit the value economic of coconuts by selling crude nuts to broker with extremely low prices it urged me to do something to change this.
The predestined relationship with coconut trees when I was working at the experimental center of Dong Go (Now is Dong Go Coconut Center of the Oil and Oil Plant Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Trade). Here, I participated in many intensive research activities in order to find a breakthrough for Vietnamese coconut trees.
From the 2 million USD program of FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) for the center and more than 10 years of research, I have gathered many valuable experiences to start my own business. The first is crude coconut oil. In 1997, Luong Quoi Coconut Co., Ltd. was born, from here began the journey to increase the value of coconut. I decided to name the company follow the start-up place - in Luong Quoi commune, Giong Trom district.
The ups and downs of the company for more than 20 years have left the achievement of many high-quality products from coconut such as Desiccated Coconut, Coconut Milk, Coconut Water, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Refined Coconut Oil, Toasted Coconut Chips, Coconut Butter, etc… Moreover, in my mind never stopped researching more and more diverse product lines to meet the needs of all global customers. In Vietnam, frankly speaking, have no factory that has a variety of products from food, beverage, cosmetics, etc as our company. This is the pride but also the challenge that requires leaders and employees to constantly research and develop products, update increasingly advanced production trends and improve the governance system.
My mission spends my life creating value for the coconut trees in the homeland and bringing the high quality products of Vietnam to everyone, every home. Therefore, the Vietcoco brand is the soul of the mission, trusted used by consumers during the time.
I believe that Vietcoco will famous not only as a Ben Tre’s specialties but also increased further when it is honored the Vietnam value brings the value the creator heart products to the consumers across five continents.
